Aida Moussa - Director of Operations
Aida has served in the Senior Housing industry for over 24 years. She is a firm believer in honesty, integrity and truly enjoys serving seniors. She initially began her career as a volunteer which led her to realize this was her true calling. Her compassion, dedication and hard work paved the way for her to become the Head of Sales and Marketing for an Assisted Living Community in the Sterling Heights area. In that position, she achieved much success, including attaining the highest occupancy rates within the company for multiple years. Always looking for the next challenge, Aida decided to move into the management field. She became the Executive Director and held that post for the last 16 years. She prides herself in bringing out the best in her team, as well as creating a warm and caring home for her residents. Her family is her inspiration and compass that guides her, she has been married to the love of her life for 36 years and has 3 amazing children that are her life’s greatest blessings.
Rebecca Holland - Executive Director
Rebecca has been with My Doctor’s Inn for 5 years and is passionate about caring for the elderly and people with memory impairment. Rebecca began her career in healthcare many years ago as a patient care tech at St John Macomb. After putting herself through nursing school she graduated as an LPN from St. Clair community college. Rebecca’s career started working in an urgent care until she found a position at a skilled nursing facility. Rebecca’s management style is very hands on; building strong relationships is the foundation of her work ethic, both professionally and personally. With her years of experience in healthcare and her knowledge base, Rebecca is a great asset to our team and will always lend a helping hand to those in need. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters that are her life’s greatest blessings.
Nikki Mason - Director of Sales & Marketing
Nikki has more than 18 years of experience in the senior industry and found out shortly after that working with the seniors was her true passion. Nikki started her career at My Doctors Inn as a receptionist, and with hard work and dedication she paved her way to the sales position with the company and has been very successful helping and guiding the seniors with proper placement. For Nikki family is the most important thing in life, so when not at work, she goes home to her 2 amazing boys who keep her motivated, busy and give her the strength to achieve all of her life goals.
Carolina Baeza - Senior Life Enrichment Director
Carolina has been working in the senior industry for over 15 years. After attending college for a totally different career, she found that her heart was in the caregiving world. Carolina became a certified Activity Director in 2004, and began her career in the senior industry where she has been able to enhance the quality of life of every senior she encountered. Carolina is the proud mother of two teenage children; Izzy who is 16 years old, and Tony who is 13 years old. When she is not striving to make the residents happy; she enjoys treasure hunting at thrift stores, volunteering for Lucky Paws of Michigan, crocheting, and spending time with her family and fur babies. Her motto for life is “If I made someone smile today, I had a good day”.
Desiree’ Rasberry - Operations Assistant
Desiree’ started her career serving the seniors as a caregiver in 2009. Fate brought her to My Doctors Inn in 2013 where with her hard work, dedication, and compassion for the elderly did not go unnoticed. Her commitment quickly paved her way to many promotions within the company. Her perseverance will continue setting future goals where she can lead a team to success as an Executive Director and create a culture where she can continue serving the elderly population. In her free time Desiree finds joy in spending meaningful time with those she loves and especially her nieces and nephews.
David Bungard - Senior Director of Maintenance
David has worked at My Doctor’s Inn since January 2014 and is looking forward to the expanding network of buildings and projects currently on the horizon. David has worked in the maintenance field most of his working life and particularly in the Assisted Living/Memory Care segment for over 20 years and looking forward to many more to come. David has acquired a lifetime of hands-on training from working with some of the most knowledgeable people in the skilled trades arena and is continuing to learn new things on a daily basis. Serving the senior is his passion, and providing them with a safe environment that they can call home is his daily focus.
Lamarr Thomas - Executive Chef
Born in Detroit, Michigan. LaMarr studied culinary at Herman A. Breithaupt Career and Technical Center in Detroit. Upon graduating he has worked in several restaurants as a chef, until 1998 when LaMarr was offered to work as a food service director in a senior living community. With over 20 years of experience, LaMarr joined the team at My Doctor’s Inn in 2015 and dedicates his time to create wonderful delicious meals for our residents. Lamarr has two amazing children, and his dream is to empower, motivate and raise them with good hearts and wise minds.
Michael Torres - Operations Manager
Mr. Torres graduated from Lawrence Technological University in 1988 receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He joined Ford Motor Co. where he received global recognition for performance and implementation of the new “Adjustable Seat Belt Restraint” system in less than 4 months. In 1991 Mr. Torres started University Builders Inc. building over 600 custom homes and multiple medical office developments over the next 25 years. In 2009 his network of physicians allowed for him to create, develop and operate a 90 unit $17m Licensed Assisted Living community, “My Doctor’s Inn” (MDI) in Sterling Heights Michigan. MDI was the first doctor-owned senior community in Michigan. His creativity and passion to improve Senior’s lives created a first “Main Street” concept and “Neighborhood Memory Care” model that addressed different levels of memory loss and associated issues in a secure setting new to the area.
Mr. Torres’s vast knowledge in finance and lending assisted in raising equity and permanent financing for the new 85,000 SF community. In 2011, construction financing, using the new 232 LEAN processes, was secured and Mr. Torres worked with Ferlito/Monohan to build My Doctors Inn finishing construction in January 2013 and an opening date soon after. Mr. Torres’s experience in construction and job cost kept the budget in line with less than 2% cost overruns.
